Pride Month Programming
In observance of Pride Month, Bloom is offering the opportunity to learn ways to dismantle the systems of oppression that disenfranchise gender and sexually diverse folks, and to develop more equitable and inclusive ways of working. Our Pride Month DEI programming is an excellent way for folks to embark on or further their anti-oppressive learning journeys throughout the month of June—and beyond.
Celebrating Gender & Sexual Diversity (2.5 hours)
This workshop is designed to answer any and all questions your team may have about the queer and trans experience. In this session, we break down the ABCs of the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym, dive into the practice of sharing pronouns, and explore the various systems of oppression that impact gender and sexually diverse folks at work and beyond. We unpack common microaggressions, discuss the importance of representation in media, and look to solutions for a more affirming and equitable future for all. Participants will leave with actionable takeaways to better support gender and sexually diverse folks in the workplace, at home, and in our communities.
Facilitated by Vinciane de Pape, DEI Advisory Lead.
Thursday, June 15, from 12pm–2:30pm ET and Thursday, June 22, from 1pm–3:30pm ET
