A friendly, full-service workplace design consultancy

We’re a full-service fractional consulting firm.

So, here's the thing, for a long time, traditional human resources practices felt shitty because HR systems and policies weren't rooted in anti-oppressive practices. So, all of the systems of oppression that create barriers at work (and beyond) for some of our most marginalized communities were further perpetuated in our physical and digital workplaces. Not great, we know! This is why women still make less than our male counterparts, trans folks are underrepresented in most workplaces, people with "Black sounding names" are less likely to get called for an interview, and nearly half of Indigenous Canadians report experiencing discrimination at work, amongst many other things. At Bloom, we recognize that great HR starts with anti-oppressive practices so that you can achieve more inclusive, equitable, and diverse outcomes.

This is why we do what we do. This is where our work starts.

My experience navigating alternative paths has served as the foundation for my work in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI/DBI). The reality is there is no one-size-fits-all for bringing DEI or DBI into your organization in a meaningful and intentional way. I’ve spent my career working with leading brands to find the right ways to bring DEI/DBI into their organization so it can stick, scale and succeed.
